This series of 1917 legal tender displays the portrait of George Washington and the vignette of Christopher Columbus sighting land thus "discovering America" at left. The reverse is printed in green ink, with an open space to the left and the obligation and counterfeiting clause to the right. An extremely popular and well collected large size type.
