The Dremel 225 flex shaft attachment has a flexible, 36-Inch shaft that attaches easily and adds an improved level of versatility to your project. The Quick connects attach system allows you to easily attach the flex-shaft to your Dremel rotary tool. A 5” bend radius provides more flexibility and fits comfortably in our hand. The integrated shaft Lock button allows for the hand piece allows you to easily change your accessory or attachment. The flex-shaft holds up to 1/8” shank, and works with both the coolant system and the Dremel chuck.

I have been using this for almost 3 months now to do general wood shaping and carving as well as detailed engraving. It attaches easily my dremel 4000 and works great for the detailed stuff. The minimum bend radius and having to have the dremel hanging above for proper function took some getting used to but it is so much easier to use than the main body of the dremel. I feel like this will last a long time with proper use and care and I will buy another if it ever does wear out.
Bought this attachment so that I could do more detailed work on fishing lures without struggling with the weight of the regular Dremel tool. I am very satisfied with the results. Every thing is included so it can be attached to the 4300 Dremel. Be sure to read the information page about running this at full speed for at least 2 minutes the first time you attach it to the Dremel, helps to heat up the flex shaft and redistribute the lubricant in the casing. The drill bit attachment seems to be able to work in the flex shaft.
Have been using this since October to sand live edges on wood slabs with the sanding drums attachment. It lets me get in close, control how much material I'm taking off and allows me to work in tighter spaces and on uneven surfaces. Use it after a chisel to get the cambium fibers and smooth things out. Better control with the attachment and more comfortable versus using the rotary tool by itself. Have had no issues with it over the last 3+ months.
