This is a vintage postcard featuring The Krebs in Skaneateles, New York, in Onondaga County in the Finger Lakes region.
The postcard has four black and white pictures of the building exterior and grounds.
The back of the postcard has printed “Telephone 14” along with the name and the address.
The card measures about 3½” x 5½”.
In the summer of 1899, Fred and Cora Krebs started serving meals to their neighbors, with board set at .00 a week, three meals a day, dinner was 50 cents.
Mrs. Krebs was a school teacher and a part-time caterer and Mr. Krebs was a store keeper.
The restaurant itself, which originally seated 25, has been added to until the dining room seats 150.
The restaurant closed in 2010 but is currently under renovation with plans to open soon.
This postcard is new and has not been written on.
There are no tears or creases.
