    Here we have a

    HICKOK, U.S.A. Silver Plated Tie Bar with Chain & Scroll '36'
    .
    The decorative bar has a dangling linked chain with an attached
    medallion
    .  The medallion is in the shape of a small scroll with the 'lamp of learning' symbol and '36' (probably a gift for graduation in 1936).
    It measures approx. 2-1/4" long.  Engraved:
    HICKOK, U.S.A.  50
    on the back with patent info. It is in very good condition.
